ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੇਸ਼ੇਵਰ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਖੋਜ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਟੀਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ
ਹੈ। ਕਾਲਜ ਦਾ ਊਰਜਾਵਾਨ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ
ਅਤੇ ਕਲਾ, ਵਿਗਿਆਨ,ਵਪਾਰ, ਵਪਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਐਪਲੀਕੇਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਦੇ
ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਸਾਨ ਬਣਾਉਣ
ਲਈ ਨਿਰੰਤਰ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ।
ਸਰਦੂਲਗੜ੍ਹ ਮਾਨਸਾ ਜਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਛੋਟਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਅਤੇ ਨਗਰ ਪੰਚਾਇਤ ਹੈ. XIth ਪਲਾਨ ਤਹਿਤ, ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਗਰਾਂਟਸ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ (ਯੂਜੀਸੀ) ਨੇ ਰਾਜ
ਸਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿਚ 374 ਮਾਡਲ ਕਾਲਜ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਉੱਚ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਵਿਚ ਕੌਮੀ ਔਸਤ
ਤੋਂ ਘੱਟ ਦਾਖਲਾ ਅਨੁਪਾਤ ਘੱਟ ਹੈ, ਇਹਨਾਂ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਲਈ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਹੁਣ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ 14 ਕਾਂਸਟੀਚੂਐਂਟ ਕਾਲਜ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ 9 ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਯੂ.ਜੀ.ਸੀ. ਦੀ ਮਾਡਲ ਕਾਲਜ ਸਕੀਮ ਅਧੀਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਇਹਨਾਂ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਦੂਰਦਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਹਾਤੀ
ਅਤੇ ਪਛੜੇ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇਣ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਕਾਲਜ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ
ਵੱਲੋਂ 2009 ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ । ਸੰਨ 2011 ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ 'ਮਾਡਲ ਕਾਲਜ ਸਕੀਮ ' ਅਧੀਨ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦਾ ਕਾਂਸਟੀਚੂਐਂਟ ਕਾਲਜ ਬਣਾਇਆ
ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਕਾਲਜ 18 ਏਕੜ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਰਕਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੈਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ
ਦੀ ਬਿਲਡਿੰਗ ਕਾਫੀ ਵੱਡੀ, ਖੁਲ੍ਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਹੈ । ਇਸਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਬਲਾਕ, ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕੀ ਬਲਾਕ, ਇੱਕ ਲਾਇਬਰੇਰੀ, ਇੱਕ ਖੇਡ ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਟੀਨ ਹੈ। ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਖੇ ਬੀ.ਏ., ਬੀ.ਕਾਮ.(ਸਰਲ), ਬੀ.ਸੀ.ਏ., ਬੀ.ਬੀ.ਏ. ਅਤੇ ਬੀ.ਐੱਸ.ਸੀ. (ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਅਤੇ ਗੈਰ-ਮੈਡੀਕਲ), ਐਮਸੀਏ ਅਤੇ ਪੀ ਜੀ ਡੀ ਸੀ ਏ ਦੀ ਡਿਗਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ
ਹੈ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਇਕ ਨਵਾਂ ਕਾਲਜ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਫਿਰ
ਵੀ ਸਾਡੇ
ਕੋਲ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਫੈਕਲਟੀ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਹਨ। ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਦੇ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ
ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਲਈ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ
ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਦਭਾਵਨਾਪੂਰਨ ਅਤੇ
ਸਰਵਜਨਕ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਚ ਅਨੇਕ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਧਾਰਨਾ
ਹੈ ਕਿ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਖਸੀਅਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਆਦਾ
ਤੋਂ ਜਿਆਦਾ ਨਿਖਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿਚ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਸਰਦੂਲਗੜ੍ਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਿਲੱਖਣ ਸਥਾਨ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਪਿਛਲੇ
ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧੀਆ ਆਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਨਤੀਜੇ
ਕਾਫੀ ਵਧੀਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ । ਇਸ ਕਾਲਜ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਸ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਗਏ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਚ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਦਾਖਲਾ
ਲੈ ਕੇ ਨਾਮਣਾ ਖੱਟਿਆ ਹੈ ।ਇਹ ਕਾਲਜ ਇਸ ਪੇਂਡੂ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਈਆਂ ਰੁਕਾਵਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜਨ ਲਈ ਯਤਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਹੈ ।

is a Constituent College of Punjabi University, Patiala and approved by UGC. The college
is committed to offer quality education to its students and assist them in
discovering their professional qualities and to fulfill their educational
goals. The enlightened faculty of the college has been striving relentlessly
for shaping the future of the students and their all round development in the field of Arts, Science, Commerce, Business Management and Computer
Applications.
Sardulgarh
is a small town and a Nagar Panchayat in the district of Mansa, Punjab. Under the XIth Plan, the University Grants Commission (U.G.C.) in
collaboration with the State Governments decided to establish 374 Model Colleges
in India. The districts, where Gross Enrollment Ratio in higher Education was
lower than National Average, were selected for establishing these colleges. Now
Punjabi University has 14 Constituent Colleges, out of which, 9 were
established under Model College Scheme of UGC.
The
aim was to provide opportunities for higher education to the rural and backward
areas of the hinterland. The University College at Sardulgarh was established in
year 2009 as S.Balraj Singh Bhundar Memorial Govt. Degree College. In 2011, it
was made a Constituent College of Punjabi University under the 'Model College
Scheme.' With a sprawling campus area of 18 acres, the College is set amid
picturesque pastoral fields, highlighting the sheer Arcadian beauty of the
rural countryside. It has three academic blocks, an administrative block, a
library, a sports stadium, badminton courts and a canteen. At
present, the College offers the degrees of B.A., B.Com (Professional), B.Com
(Simple), B.C.A, BBA, B.Sc. (Med & Non-Medical), MCA and P.G.D.C.A. Though
still a new College, we have different departments and dedicated faculty
members. Apart from the traditional methods of teaching and learning, the
teachers make use of modern technology to facilitate learning; making teaching
more interesting in the process. But the onus is not just on teaching. We also
strive for the harmonious and all-round development of our students.
The
basic premise behind organizing myriad activities in the College is to help
bloom their personalities. And therefore in a very short span of time,
University College, Sardulgarh has begun to carve a niche for itself. The
academic results of the College also have been extremely promising as the
pass-out average of the students has been higher than even that of the
University. In fact, with the very first batch of our pass-out students
successfully securing seats in various streams of their choosing at different
universities and institutions of higher education, we hope to break barriers
and make an indelible mark in this rural area and on its community.
